Challenge Description:
This half or full day challenge aims to introduce students to the Applied course with elements of Units 1, 2 and 3.

Students are given a type of ownership which throughout the challenge they find out how different events can affect them or maybe don't!  These events are introduced throughout the challenge by way of newsflashes which can happen at any time.  In their teams students have to come up with aims and objectives for their type of ownership, they have to allocate team members to different functions and a couple of the teams have to deal with a merger! 

Students work in teams to make batches of stackable cups that will be sold to 1 or 2 businesses.  Before they will buy, the cup will need to pass the QC test.  Teams can then buy supplies and start to make as many cups as they can in order to make the most profit.

This challenge also teaches the benefits of teamwork along with students experiencing some of the problems that can arise in industry.  There is also a business focus on production techniques.
