Challenge Description:
This challenge is written to run alongside GCSE Applied Business to give them some real life experience of running a small company.

They are given the challenge of setting up a private limited company that designs and arranges the printing of a calendar.  As well as this, they have to decide on how much they are going to sell their calendar for, after calculating their break even, and where they are going to sell their products.  In order to raise finance, they have to sell shares.  They have to compete against other teams to see who can make the most profit after selling their calendars.  At the end of the challenge, they have to calculate and arrange the dividends that must go to shareholders.

This challenge works best if you can secure a venue by where students can sell their calendar to the public, e.g. your local shopping centre.

Available to pre-order now - will be dispatched no later than January 2008.

* Package will include photocopiable materials (and CD of resources) so that there is no need for you to print what you need to get your event started.
